NB: You have to apply at the Immigration Office in Hong Kong to get a visa. An applicant may choose any of the below two processes:

Process 1: An applicant can submit a passport copy and all the necessary documents listed below at Dragon Airlines and pay the necessary fees. They will submit your application to Hong Kong Immigration Department for visa approval. Once the visa is approved, then the immigration will send a visa sticker to the applicant. Through that visa, an applicant can fly to Hong Kong.

Process 2: An applicant gets immigration approval through the Host Company or Tour Operators in Hong Kong. They need to apply on behalf of the applicant at the Immigration Department with the fee. The processing time is at least 35 days in both processes.

The Embassy’s Consular Section provides a wide variety of visa services to Bangladeshi and other foreign nationals here in Bangladesh.

Processing Time:

The total approximate time is 6 weeks.

Visa processing time entirely depends upon the time taken by the visa office while processing each visa application to its merit and may take longer than the tentative processing time.

Business Visa:


A business visa is a travel authorization that allows an entrepreneur or company employee to visit a foreign country temporarily for business purposes.

  1. Passport: The applicant needs to submit an original Passport that was issued within 10 years. The passport must have six months of validity after the intended date of departure. The applicant’s current passport must have two empty/blank pages back to back. Hand-written and alternation are not allowed. Clear photocopy of the front page to the last page. If the applicant used any pages before then he/she needs to submit those pages clear copy also. If the applicant has an old passport, he/she have to include that.
  2. Visa Application (SAR China) Form: A visa application form needs to submit. Application forms –ID1003A and ID-1003B must be signed by the applicant. From-ID1003B filled by the sponsor with a seal and sign. A copy of the Hong Kong identity card and filled out by the applicants with proper information on the invitation letter from Hong Kong. Form-ID520(Applicants’ family background) must be filled out and signed by the applicant.
  3. Photograph: Recently taken two passport-size photos (3.5mm X 4.5mm) that need to submit. Photo should be taken recently with applicant frontal-view and untouched with white background. Wearing glass is not allowed when taking photos but prescription eyewear is allowed.
  4. Cover Letter: A personal letter from the applicant covering personal details, the purpose of the visit, duration, and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip. Travel, the accommodation also need to include. The purpose of your visit to Hong Kong is for a temporary visit, business visit, or medical treatment. Remain time in Hong Kong specifically and evidence of founds. The cover letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Hong Kong (SAR China), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  5. Invitation Letter from a Hong Kong Registered Company/Organization: An invitation letter from the Hong Kong host including applicant name, applicant work position, or business position after going to Hong Kong, applicant salary, and all other documents. The invitation letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Hong Kong (SAR China), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  6. Forwarding Letter: A letter from the employer’s office such as a NOC/LOI letter on the organization’s letterhead pad stating the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, applicant purpose, and assigned roles during the visit, duration of the visit, contact details, and other necessary details.
  7. Office ID Card: Copies of the office id card/visiting card need to submit (3 copies).
  8. Trade License: If the applicant is the owner or employee of the company that the applicant mentions then the applicant needs to submit a clear scanned copy of the applicant’s valid trade license.
  9. Incorporation Certificate: The applicant needs an incorporation certificate if he/she is the owner or employed by the company.
  10. Company Memorandum: The applicant needs a clear scanned copy of the Company Memorandum if the applicant is the owner/managing director of the company or employed as one of the directors in the company.
  11. Personal Bank Statements: The applicant must submit his/her personal bank statement for the last six months. He/She also needs to mention the Bank’s name and telephone number with an authorized bank stamp and signature.
  12. Personal ITR Certificate: Applicant must submit his/her last 3 years income tax return certificate.
  13. Company Bank Statements: Bank statements copy of the sponsoring company or party for the last 6 months mentions the Bank’s name and telephone number clearly with an authorized bank stamp and signature (If the company sponsors the trip).
  14. Company ITR Certificate: Applicant must submit the last 3 years Income Tax Return certificate of the company he/she works for. The license must be legalized by legal authorities (If the company sponsors the trip).
  15. Airline Ticket Itinerary: A reserved itinerary for the applicant’s airline ticket as per the schedule of the trip and return from the trip.
  16. Hotel Reservation: A reserved itinerary for the applicant’s accommodation. He/She needs to mention the hotel or resort as per the schedule of the trip.


Tourist Visa:


A tourist visa is an official document or stamp that authorizes an individual to enter a foreign country for the purpose of leisure and tourism.

  1. Passport: The applicant needs to submit an original Passport that was issued within 10 years. The passport must have six months of validity after the intended date of departure.
